Goodreads Synopsis:

Their wishes were simple and modest. Fate had other things in sore though, and she can be a real bitch sometimes.

All he wanted was to get the job done and somehow endure those long months playing nanny to a spoiled little rich girl. Without strangling her with his bare hands in the process. Well, it is going to much easier said than done.

All she wanted was to escape the past and live like any other girl. Her plan definitely didn't include the arrogant, tattooed savage, with his awful mohawk and lack of social graces, whose only mission was to stick real close and mess up her life.

But, people aren't always what they seem to be, are they?

Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:

This book looks like one of those super cheesy romance novels that always seem to be on sale on Amazon. And I know that might sound really terrible and in some cases the books are. But sometimes you find a diamond in a pile of coals. I really hope that this book is that diamond. From the quotes above, I somehow have the suspicion that it will be but we won't know until I read this book. Please take note once again that I have received this book in exchange for an honest review and to participate in the Xpresso Blog Tours tour for this book. It has in no way affected my opinion. All thoughts are my own.

Writing Thoughts:

There was nothing over complicated with the writing. It is clear that Zoya has a natural affinity for writing. I rarely enjoy books this much and to be honest, this book has found it's way onto my favourites list on Goodreads. Very few books have that honor.

Plot Thoughts:

I expected to like this book. Not to be blown away by it. It was just amazing. I loved reading this book from page one. It kept me enticed and interested with the mysteries and unexpected characteristics of characters. It was steamy (in more ways than one) and definitely had a way of heating up the situation in a matter of seconds.

The details behind the story are really incredible. I really loved this book and the new format that it has taken on. It was pretty incredible. My gosh. This is definitely one book that has just been completely unexpected. It has made me rethink my opinion on contemporaries/ romance novels.

Character Thoughts:

We meet two completely opposite characters that are hopeless at getting along with each other. But as the story progresses, we get to know the character and their back story. I love when a book does this, not only does it alway foresight but it also allows the reader to see the character development from before and how much the character still has to go before becoming "fully" developed.

I loved Aleksey. I mean I love myself some good eyecandy and an amazing BBF (book boyfriend). He was just really great. He threw a lot of 360's here and there but they played into the story quite well. He was so unpredictable and to be honest, it was refreshing.

Sasha is far from your typical rich kid that you see in most books. Sasha tries to detach that stereotype from herself as quickly and as often as possible. It is pretty incredible. I loved how girly she was as well and not to mention she wasn't ashamed when someone pointed it out. Instead she continued to flaunt it. There were moment with Sasha that did feel predictable though but they were still quite entertaining.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, this book was amazing. Would I recommend this book? Yes (just make sure you are comfortable with reading sex scenes). Would I read this book again and pick up the rest o this series? Hell Yeah. I am anxiously anticipating the next book. I loved this book and will definitely be picking up more books from both this genre and Zoya Tessi.

About the Author:

Zoya spent years doing volunteering work all across Europe, from cleaning school basements in Northern Russia to excavating Stone Age artifacts in Euskadi (the Basque country) and renovating castle from the middle ages in Southern France. She always dreamed of working with 'Doctors with out borders' somewhere out in Africa, but ended up doing an 'ordinary job' in one of the smaller European countries.

Her greatest passion is devouring each and every book that comes within her reach.
