Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:

I read Angel of Death earlier this month and honestly I really liked the book. It surprised me and I wanted to read more. When Rock Star Book Tours advertised that they were doing a tour for Eamonn Hickson's other book, I just couldn't let the chance pass me by. I am really excited for this book.

Thank you to Rock Star Book Tours for providing me with a copy for this book! I cannot wait to jump into this book. Just a small little disclaimer for those reading this review. I have received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. Please note that this does not affect my opinion in any way. All thoughts are my own.

Writing Thoughts:

The writing in this book was very similar to the writing in Angel of Death. There was a lot of detail in this book. I love how easy it is to envision the nook. I also really enjoyed the dialogue in this book. It constantly built tension. The writing had really good flow to it which helped readers to push the emotionally charged book.

Plot Thoughts:

The plot of this book was good. There was constant tension and constant conflict. I loved how everything was a mystery to the main character. I really liked that we got to see that Adam got some of his memories back instead of just being told. I love how there was drama in every chapter. Something that propelled the reader forward. In time the plot did seem to be slow but at the end of the day, it never lost my interest.

Character Thoughts:

All the characters in this book were well rounded. They each had a purpose, even if the reader doesn’t initially see it. I really liked how we got to see the conflict that both Adam and Brittany had to deal with. I also liked how they were constantly forced to confront each other. Especially towards the end.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I really liked this book. Hickspn clearly has a talent for writing. He knows just how to entice his audience and keep them captivated. There wasn’t a single moment where I wasn’t interested in what was unfolding in front of me. I really liked how the plot was full of tension and how the characters were forced the deal with both their inner conflict and outer conflict. Thank you so much to Rock Star Book Tours for providing me with a copy of this book.
